Stuart Reid

Stuart joined Smart in 2022 as the next step in a 25 year career in UK pensions. Having completed an Economics degree at the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA at Strathclyde Graduate Business School, he has spent most of his working life based in London representing consulting firms such as Aon and Hymans Robertson, and also insurers Scottish Widows and Standard Life.

Stuart has led clients through projects to set up, replace and improve wider employee benefit offerings, dealing with risk and insurance benefits as well as pensions. The obvious pension changes over this time have included implementing salary sacrifice arrangements, the boom of personal pensions, retirement freedoms, and most recently the prolific growth of master trust solutions.
