Head of Primary School Development
The RAP Project (Confirmed)
Jessica Hawley is the Head of Primary School Development at The RAP Project. She works closely with primary schools and parents to promote good practice for Relationship and Sex Education. She has a PGCE in Citizenship and PSHE from the Institute of Education, and focused her MA in Education on Teacher Training in Multicultural Classrooms. She began her career as a social worker in New York City and delivered workshops around sexual health and drug prevention. She’s passionate about empowering parents to talk to their children about self-esteem, consent and building digital resilience. She believes young people need to be nurtured to care for themselves, to care for others and to keep that care at the heart of their sexual lives. Her motivation is based on work experience, research and most importantly, raising her three daughters.
