John Short Ring
King's College School (Confirmed)
John Short Ring is deputy head at one of the world’s most successful schools, King’s College School Wimbledon. He is responsible for the day to day running of the senior school, admissions, staff recruitment and training and the school’s digital strategy. He also line manages the PE and Games department and the educational visits coordinator. He is a governor at Ricards Lodge High School in Wimbledon and The Mall School in Twickenham. He has particular interests in staff development, leadership and site-specific action research. John is also a Principal Examiner for OCR and has developed examination papers and resources for the recently changed A level specifications. He leads the marking for a number of units every summer. He has worked in the independent sector for the whole of his career, firstly at Trinity School in Croydon as Head of History and then at Epsom College where he was Director of Learning and Innovation. John holds a BA in History from UCL and is hoping to begin an MBA in the not too distant future. He hopes that on completion Liverpool, Harlequins and the San Francisco 49ers have returned to winning ways.
